Jo Alpert’s Clothiers was located at 15th (Fifteenth) and Larimer Streets in Denver Colorado. The store had two floors with the regular clothing store at the street level. The second floor was for uniforms and police supplies. Law enforcement and private security officers were a large part of Joe’s customers in the Denver and front range communities. Tradesmen also bought their uniforms there. In the 1960s, the store moved to 14th and Market. It closed around 1980. The original building at 15th & Larimer was raised and that site is now a part of the Writer Square complex.
